Exploring Piedmont with Roberto Sarotto

EXPLORING PIEDMONT WITH ROBERTO SAROTTO

Barolo and Barbaresco invoke a sense of awe like few other wine regions on Earth.  In Italy’s North-West corner we find the lands of Piedmont, the foothills of the Alps, where these, and many other exciting wines are produced.  Join Besk’s sommelier, Trent Everitt plus Enrico Sarotto, of Roberto Sarotto wines, for an event to discover and taste what makes these wines so intriguing.

It will be a guided tasting through the various styles the region offers, including Langhe Arneis, Gavi, Barbera D’Asti and, of course, Nebbiolo from Langhe, Barbaresco and Barolo. The wines of Roberto Sarotto are from a family estate dating back to 1820 and we are lucky to have Roberto’s son Enrico (the seventh generation of Sarotto winemaker) joining us to tell us about the history, the wines and the magical place that is Piedmont.
