Exploring Alternative Varieties with Wangolina Wines

Anita Goode, owner and winemaker of Wangolina Wines, will join us to discuss the virtues of some of the “alternative” grape varieties that are out there. We will taste and discuss wines made from varieties such as Gruner Veltliner, Fiano, Dolcetto, Montepulciano and even the mysterious Carmenere.
 

Wangolina is situated in Mt Benson in South Australia’s Limestone Coast where a wide range of varieties have found a natural home. Anita does make some of the usual suspects (like Shiraz and Cabernet), but she has become known as a champion of the underdogs in the grape variety family tree.
 

This will be a fun tasting with Anita, and Besk’s sommelier, Trent Everitt, where you will taste some unique and delicious wines you may not have tried before.
